
Rotary Friendship Exchange is Rotary's international exchange program for Rotarians and their families. Friendship Exchange provides participants the opportunity to experience other cultures by staying in the homes of Rotarians in other countries. The program aims to advance international understanding and peace through personal contact across borders while developing interclub relationships for fellowship and service projects.
Friendship Exchange Team Visit from United Kingdom
In March 2004, District 9810 hosted a visiting Friendship Exchange Team from the UK. The Rotary Clubs of Wandin and Clayton provided hosts for six visiting Rotarian couples and firm friendships were established.
2006 Friendship Exchange ties in with RI Conference in Copenhagen
Fifteen District 9810 Rotarians and partners spent 14 days in Cambridge and Surrey, UK in May -June this year. They were hosted by Rotarians in District 1070 who returned the hospitality they received from our District in 2004. This exchange took place immediately before the RI International Convention in Copenhagen and a number of those in the Frienship Exchange group were able to travel on to the Convention
Friendship Exchange visit to Alaska in 2007
Arrangements have been made for a Friendship Exchnage group from our district to visit Alaska USA during 2007. The timing of this visit will enable this visit to be combined with attendance at the 2007 RI Convention to be held in Salt Lake City USA from 17 to 19 June.
